We have moved to an awesome new site. Check it out here

Call of copycat but this is pretty cool news. This morning Sony revealed that they will be re-releasing the original PlayStation console as a "PlayStation Classic Console" a device pre-loaded with twenty games and looking as cute as possible. This miniaturised console looks and feels like the big old "phat" model released back in 1994 and will even come with two classic controllers.

The official site details the console and some of the games you will be able to play on it. These include Final Fantasy VII, Ridge Racer Type 4, Tekken 3 (yas!) and Wild Arms. More game will be revealed soon. According to the site, the console is 45% smaller than the original PlayStation and it "emulated the look and feel by featuring similar controllers and packaging.

Long-time fans will appreciate the nostalgia that comes with rediscovering the games they know and love, while gamers who might be new to the platform can enjoy the groundbreaking PlayStation console experience that started it all. All of the pre-loaded games will be playable in their original format.

The console will set you back $99 and come with an HDMI cable for use on a modern TV as well as two controllers and a USB cable. Sony says the power cable is not included but it seems to use the same cable the PS4 currently uses. This awesome device will launch on 3 December 2018, the same day the original PlayStation launched in the US. We are waiting for local pricing and availability.
